Texas Our Texas............On Fondren Road near Dumfries Drive in southwest Houston, Texas, a young mother driving a Toyota 4-Runner with her 4 and 6-year-old sons, collided with another car, then crashed into a tree.
The 23-year-old woman was killed instantly.
Her two boys were wearing seat belts but were not in car seats. They sustained non life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a hospital. The driver of the other car, a Mercedes, was not injured.
What happened next is a sign of the unraveling of America.
Before first responders arrived — ignoring the dead woman and her two young children — passers-by looted the car of the groceries that the woman had just purchased.........

Megyn Kelly had Lt Col. Ralph Peters on the Kelly File last night and talked about the latest to come out about the Bergdahl swap. Peters has been extremely vocal in his denunciations of the Obama Regime – especially in light of this latest fiasco. Tonight, he didn’t hold back.

She asked him who should be blamed for the massive backlash.
“Obama,” Peter’s answered without hesitation. “The boss is the guy who is to blame. Now obviously, his public relations team is wildly incompetent. It’s phenomenal how idiotic that Rose Garden ceremony was.”

He continued, “Right now, the left is on this campaign to pull out all the stops and make it about humanitarian issues. For the people on the left – let’s say this. The people in the military – they’re not angry that Bowe Bergdahl was freed. They’re angry at the price that was paid. They’re angry because the administration tried to portray a deserter as a war hero. They’re angry because of the pandering to the Bergdahl family – giving them access and privileges that the families of our dead and wounded warriors never got. They’re angry about being blindsided by this trade because the intelligence community, the Pentagon, the relevant committees in congress all agreed that these five terrorist chieftains were the last (inaudible) to ever be freed.”

When Kelly mentioned media reports that Bergdahl may have been tortured during his captivity, Peters really cut loose.
“If Bowe Bergdahl had not deserted, he would not have been tortured,” he seethed. “And all the bleeding hearts on the left need to knock it off and go to the burn ward at Fort Sam Houston hospital in San Antonio!”

“Bowe Bergdahl…is going to get back to his family eventually fine, in good physical health. Those brave soldiers and Marines and Navy Corpsmen and Airmen in the hospital down in San Antonio, they’re never going to be completely right. They are in gruesome pain. Many of them are not coming home.
And what about the dead soldiers? And yes, they were lost looking for Bergdahl despite Sec. Hagel’s nonsensical and duplicitous parsing of words. I mean, my god. Look, Bergdahl is back. He’s alive. Fine. But let’s stop making this guy into a victim, a hero.

…And let me send a message to all those on the left: Our soldiers don’t want your pity, they want your respect and they have earned it!”

Remember in 2009 when Obama went to Cairo and claimed: “I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world…one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead they overlap and share common principles–principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”

 From last night's Hillary interview......

In an extensive interview with Cynthia McFadden on NBC, the former secretary of state spoke about the Benghazi attack and if she could “turn the clock back.” Gee, I wonder why?????????

According to Patches O’Houlihan, the legendary coach featured in the film “Dodgeball,” winning required mastery of the game’s five d’s: “dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.” Today, that silly catchphrase for an even sillier movie has become the operating manual for congressional Democrats campaigning for re-election. As they weave through the minefield of President Obama’s policy blunders, they’ve avoided discussing the substance of a host of important issues. One can’t help but be impressed by their dexterity in deploying a few d’s of their own.

Deny. On Benghazi, Democrats’ central tactic has been simply to deny there exists a problem worth evaluating. The attack upon the US Consulate in Libya left four Americans dead; desperate calls for assistance drew no military response; and White House talking points were famously edited to remove any reference to Al Qaeda. But even after it was revealed that the White House withheld e-mails from Congress, most Democrats still insist there is nothing to debate. By condemning any proposed hearing as “partisan,” they hope to keep voter interest to a minimum.

Denounce. Ignoring the growing scandal within the Veterans Affairs health system has proven far more difficult. At first, Vermont’s Bernie Sanders, Chairman of the Senate Veterans Committee, simply denounced the falsified records and excessive wait times in Phoenix as aberrations within an otherwise well functioning system. His assurances that the VA “provides very high quality health care — period” and that now-deposed VA Secretary Eric Shinseki “has done a very good job” have been likened to statements by Baghdad Bob, the Iraqi government spokesman who insisted that a great victory was at hand even as American tanks rolled through his city.

For those in tough campaign fights, papering over systemic failures of the VA bureaucracy was never an option. Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor called the revelations “inexcusable,” but refused to call for Shinseki’s resignation. As a member of the committee responsible for overseeing the VA system, Pryor’s exposure on the issue is particularly high. His colleagues were much quicker to throw the secretary overboard. Democratic senators in Alaska, Colorado, New Hampshire, and North Carolina all called for Shinseki to go. He has, but the scandal continues to widen: last week, investigators found similar fraud at VA hospitals in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Indiana.
