A Message From San Patricio Electric Cooperative

At approximately 7 p.m. this evening we had just over 1700 members without power, the majority of which are in Bee County and San Patricio County. Conditions are not safe for our linemen to work, and we will be waiting for the storm to pass before beginning any restoration efforts. Once the storm has passed, we will conduct a damage assessment and make a plan to restore power to each and every one of our members.

“We are expecting significant damage and extended power outages in our service territory due to Hurricane Harvey. However, our employees are prepared to work diligently and safely to restore power to each and every one of our members,” said Ron Hughes, general manager of San Patricio Electric Cooperative.

We ask that members of the media stay in touch with us to confirm all facts so the public is assured of the most accurate information we can provide. We will provide another update later this evening to provide you with more information and to answer any questions you may have at that time.

The most up-to-date information will be posted to our website:

www.sanpatricioelectric.org and on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
