CHRISTUS Spohn hospitals continue to operate under Emergency Protocols

Both CHRISTUS Spohn Hospitals Shoreline and South continue to accept patients and provide care for the injured from the devastating effects of the hurricane. CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital-Memorial remains closed. Our hospitals in Alice, Beeville and Kingsville also continue to operate under Emergency Operations. At this time, all CHRISTUS Spohn hospitals in Corpus Christi are not accepting visitors. Due to our limited resources, we continue to ask the community to please delay visiting loved ones until our hospitals return to standard operating procedures later this week. Please be advised that much of the city of Corpus Christi remains without power. While some of our hospitals are operating with generators, our Family Health Clinics will remain closed until at least mid-week at which time electrical power is restored. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 911 or visit an Emergency Department at one of our hospitals.  The City of Corpus Christi has also enacted a water boil advisory, which means all tap water undrinkable. CHRISTUS Spohn has activated water boil protocol and is providing bottled water to patients and Associates, and will utilize hand sanitizers.  Our prayers continue to be with our fellow South Texans, especially those hardest hit by Hurricane Harvey in Rockport. We are grateful to our Associates and the community for rising up during this unprecedented challenge to care for one another.  As electrical power continues to be restored to portions of Corpus Christi following Hurricane Harvey, select CHRISTUS Spohn health clinics will re-open Monday, August 28th, 2017. Please be advised of the following confirmed openings of sites in Corpus Christi with current power, staff and clinicians.  We ask for patience as some clinics will be working with limited staff and resources as Associates continue to return to the Coastal Bend following the storm.
