Blood drive held at the Nueces County Courthouse

CORPUS CHRISTI -

Folks who work at the Nueces County Courthouse are doing what they can to help those in need.

After hearing that blood supplies were running low, Judge Missy Medary and others organized a blood drive at the courthouse.

347th District Court Judge Missy Medary, said "We hope it's a great drive for the blood mobile and we are happy to be part of anything to help."

"I think what we are trying to do is help everyone, everywhere, in any way that we can." said Brent Chesney who is the Nueces County Commissioner for Precinct 4. Word quickly spread and dozens of volunteers were willing to roll up their sleeves and give blood for a good cause.

If you would like to donate blood, the Coastal Bend Blood Mobile will be at Veterans Memorial High School Thursday, August 31st from 9 am until 4pm.
