Del Mar College set to open tomorrow and weekend to address student's needs


Del Mar College is making every effort to help students reach their goals and offering registration opportunities TODAY until 5 pm and TOMORROW from 9 am until 2 pm before the first day of classes next Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Harvey is no longer a threat, but it's lasting impacts have left the Coastal Bend without many homes or businesses.

And with that in mind, administrators over at Del Mar College say they are making every effort to help them reach their goals this fall semester.

Officials at the community college have announced the Student Services will operate tomorrow and Saturday, Sept. 1 - 2, to assist students before the first day of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The College's Student Services offices will assist students with registration, financial aid, payments, setting up installment plans and other services needed to start classes this next week. Registration for 14 and 15-week classes, 8-week classes and other alternatives will be held in the East Campus Harvin Student Center located at Baldwin and Ayers.

Also the West Campus Coleman Center, located at Old Brownsville and Airport Roads til  5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Online registration is open for those sessions, and it will be open through Saturday. The Del Mar College Bookstore located in the Harvin Student Center will be open the same hours tomorrow and Saturday as DMC Student Services.
