Corpus Christi driver license office open some Saturday for no cost

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Corpus Christi Driver License Office will be open (from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) the next three Saturdays - Sept. 9, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23 - to process free driver license (DL) or ID replacement cards for residents impacted by Hurricane Harvey. No other driver license transactions or drive tests will be conducted on these days. The no-cost replacement DL or ID card is available for residents in counties included in the gubernatorial disaster declaration related to Hurricane Harvey, provided they had previously been issued a Texas DL or ID card. Customers living in the affected counties are encouraged to bring whatever identity and residency documentation they have in their possession. (Replacement identification would normally cost $11.)Residents taking advantage of this can go to the nearest driver license office available to them. For additional information please see
