Red Dot Pier to reopen for the first time following Harvey

A popular fishing spot is on the verge of reopening for the first time since Hurricane Harvey made landfall.

The Red Dot Pier on the JFK Causeway shut down after Harvey hit the area but after a weekslong repair effort, staff said the fishing hotspot is set to reopen. The bait shop and pier are well known to fishermen and anglers in the area and plans to open this weekend.
