Florida Man Accused Of Throwing Molotov Cocktails At His Impounded Car

A Florida man was arrested after authorities accused him of throwing Molotov cocktails at his impounded car. Police said that the incident occurred when 27-year-old Ayub Mule Abdulrahman went to pay the towing fees after his Nissan Altima was impounded at Almake Auto Shop in Orlando.

While Abdulrahman was waiting for the shop's owner, Darnell Maurice Adams, to arrive and release his vehicle, he started throwing burning bottles at his own car, causing it to burst into flames. Adams showed up a few minutes later and was able to extinguish the fire before emergency responders arrived.

By this time, Abdulrahman had left the premises, but Adams was able to identify him in surveillance camera footage, and authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

Abdulrahman is facing charges of arson and manufacturing and transporting a firebomb. Officials did not say why he decided to damage his own car.
