Notre Dame Severely Damaged But Not A Complete Loss

FRANCE-FIRE-NOTRE DAME

Paris looks much different today after fire nearly destroyed one of the world's most iconic buildings. Thousands watched in stunned disbelief yesterday as a massive fire ravaged the Notre Dame Cathedral was in Paris. Fire crews were able to save the facade and bell towers as well as a number of religious relics. The towering spire and the roof collapsed. French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed the cathedral will be rebuilt.

Donations are pouring in from around the world after the massive fire. A national fundraising campaign is launching today for the millions upon millions the reconstruction will cost.

The cause of a massive fire remains unclear.
