An elementary school teacher in Arizona has pleaded guilty to having an on-going sexual relationship with one of her 6th grade students.

Brittany Zamora, 28, pleaded guilty on Monday to charges of sexual contact with a minor, attempted molestation and public sexual indecency, according to court records.

Zamora was arrested in March 2018 after her victim's parents discovered several sexually charged messages on his phone. The boy's stepmother began noticing the 13-year-old boy was acting mysteriously and began shutting his door at night. That's when she installed an app called "Sentry" that monitored the boy's texts and activity on his phone. The stepmother said she began getting alerts about inappropriate texts and she confronted her stepson.

That's when the boy confessed he'd been engaging in a sexual relationship with his teacher, according to a police report from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

The victim told authorities his former teacher at Las Brisas Academy in Goodyear, Arizona, had sent him nude photos after they began messaging each other in a classroom group chat. The pair eventually escalated their relationship and had multiple sexual encounters in the classroom and in Zamora's car, according to court records. The pair even engaged in sexual contact during class while other students were watching a video.

In one text exchange with Zamora, the victim wrote that he wanted to have sex with the then 27-year-old. Zamora replied, "I know baby! I want you every day with no time limit!" court records say. Another text Zamora sent the boy said "If I could quit my job and [have sex with] you all day long, I would."

Zamora also sent the 13-year-old nude photos and a photo of her wearing lingerie.

The 28-year-old teacher gave up her teaching license in December and was charged with two counts of molestation of a child, one count of furnishing harmful material and nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor. She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 12, and could face up to 12 years in prison.
