A Mexican truck driver facing pot smuggling charges says he didn't know the drugs were in his trailer. Hector Diaz faces federal drug smuggling charges after customs agents inspected and found over two tons of marijuana packed in his truck's trailer at the World Trade Bridge port of entry in Laredo on October 8th. Yesterday, the Laredo Morning Times reported that in his testimony, Diaz claims cartel members must have loaded his trailer with drugs mixed in with the kitchen appliances he was hauling. He says he was hijacked by a group of men while on the way to the border earlier the same day and told to come back later to get his trailer.
