Gov. Greg Abbott is sending a small army of firefighters from Texas to Northern California to help battle a wildfire. The Park Fire has scorched an area bigger than Los Angeles. Abbott is dispatching 100 firefighters to the scene, along with a fleet of 25 fire engines and other vehicles and resources. The governor says the nation is "stronger when we come together in times of crisis." The deployment is being coordinated through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, which helps states support each other.
