Governor Greg Abbott has a better chance of passing a school reform bill after Republicans flipped two seats in the Texas House on Tuesday. The GOP won two districts in Corpus Christi and Uvalde that were held by retiring Democrats. The Republicans didn't lose a single seat in the state Capitol, winning contested races in the Dallas suburbs and San Antonio. The GOP will have 87 of 150 seats in the House when the Legislature reconvenes in January. Abbott said on Tuesday he'll have "more than enough votes" to pass a school voucher bill.
