The highest criminal court in Texas has some new faces on the bench after last week's election. Texas voters elected David Schenck, Gina Parker, and Lee Finley to the court. The three had the backing of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and President-elect Donald Trump. They ousted three Republican incumbents in the March primary and then defeated their Democratic opponents last week by wide margins. For nearly three years, Paxton had wanted to replace judges on the court who ruled that he couldn't prosecute voter fraud cases.
