2017 Independence Day City Schedule

Most City of Corpus Christi offices including City Hall, libraries and Municipal Court will be closed Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in observance of the Independence holiday.

Solid Waste Services:

  • Garbage Collection: Tuesday, July 4th, no changes in schedule.

  • Recycling Collection: Tuesday, July 4th, no changes in schedule.

  • Brush: Tuesday, July 4th, brush will not be collected.

    Bulky Items: Tuesday, July 4th, bulky items will not be collected.

  • Transfer Station: The Citizen Collection Center located at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station will be closed Tuesday, July 4th, and will reopen Wednesday, July 5th, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

    Animal Care Services:

  • Open Saturday, July 1st, adoptions from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Closed Tuesday, July 4th.

    The following schedule will be observed at City Parks and Recreation facilities: 

    Golf Courses:

  • Lozano Golf Center: Open regular hours
  • Oso Golf Course: Open regular hours

Tennis Centers:

  • H-E-B Tennis Center: Closed
  • Al Kruse Tennis Center: Closed

Pools:

  • Collier Pool, 3801 Harris Drive: Open Tuesday, July 4th, Lap Swim 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and General Swim 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Greenwood Pool, 4305 Greenwood Drive: Open Tuesday, July 4th, Lap Swim 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and General Swim 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • H-E-B Pool, 1520 Shely Street: Open Tuesday, July 4th, General Swim 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • T.C. Ayers Pool, 926 Coke Street: Open Tuesday, July 4th, General Swim 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Oso Pool (Closed for repairs)

  • Corpus Christi Natatorium (Closed for renovations)

  • West Guth Pool (Closed for renovations)  

Senior Centers: Closed

Recreation Centers: Closed

Cultural Services: The Galvan House - Closed

Latchkey: Closed

Gymnasiums: Closed

Juvenile Assessment Center: Closed
