President Trump disagreed with the assessment of California officials that climate change is driving the devastating wildfires there. Trump explained on Fox and Friends this morning that poor forest management is to blame.

California Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot on Monday pleaded with Trump to listen to the science that says climate change plays a major role in catastrophic fires. The president said with a laugh that he doesn't think science knows. Trump said, "It'll start getting cooler. You just watch."

California Governor Gavin Newsom bluntly told the president, "Climate change is real."
